Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie ?r att belysa f?rskoll?rares arbete med flerspr?kiga barn. Studien utg?r fr?n sociokulturell teori och dess centrala begrepp som ?r mediering, appropering och proximal utvecklingzonen. F?r att kunna f? svar p? v?ra fr?gest?llningar har vi genomf?rt intervjuer med sex f?rskoll?rare.

Flerspr?kighet har f?tt ett ?kat intresse i offentligheten och i akademiska sammanhang (Sal? m. fl., 2021). ?ven om flerspr?kighet kan ses som en resurs har flerspr?kiga elever (d?r svenska inte ?r f?rstaspr?k) l?gre m?luppfyllelse ?n motsvarande elever med svenska som f?rstaspr?k (Skolverket, 2023a). Internationella l?sunders?kningar synligg?r liknande tendenser - att flerspr?kiga elever f?r l?gre resultat p? l?sf?rst?else (Skolverket, 2023a).

Denna kvalitativa studie unders?ker vilka motiv som ligger bakom gymnasieelevers val att l?sa ?mnet svenska som andraspr?k, sva, och vilka erfarenheter de har med flerspr?kighet i klassrummet. Studien har en fenomenologisk ansats d?r elevernas livsv?rldar och dess spr?kliga repertoarer anses p?verka elevernas beslut och f?rh?llnings?tt (Busch 2017). Detta inneb?r att elevernas uppfattning om ?mnet sva och deras inst?llning till flerspr?kighet p?verkas av deras tidigare erfarenheter.

Syftet med denna studie ?r att med en intervjustudie unders?ka hur f?rskoll?rare resonerar att de arbetar med dialogisk l?sning och boksamtal som pedagogiska verktyg och hur f?rskoll?rare anser det p?verkar barns spr?kutveckling samt hur de inkluderar flerspr?kiga barn i h?gl?snings-situationerna. Studien utg?r ifr?n ett sociokulturellt perspektiv samt f?ljande fr?gest?llningar: 1) Hur resonerar f?rskoll?rare att de arbetar med dialogisk l?sning och boksamtal som pedagogiska verktyg f?r spr?kutvecklingen hos barn?, 2) Hur beskriver f?rskoll?rare att de planerar f?r h?gl?sning som en spr?kutvecklande aktivitet? samt 3) Hur resonerar f?rskoll?rare kring att inkludera flerspr?kiga barn under h?gl?sningen? Enligt Brodin och Renblad (2019) och Alatalo och Westlund (2021) s? anv?nds inte l?sningen som ett undervisningstillf?lle f?r att ge m?jlighet f?r barnen att utveckla sina spr?kkunskaper. Eftersom att f?rskolan har en viktig roll i barns spr?kutveckling menar vi att v?r studie ger en viktig inblick i hur f?rskoll?rare resonerar kring hur spr?kutvecklingen f?r barn i f?rskoleverksamheten kan se ut.

The study concerns the history and development of hospitallibraries in Sweden in the beginning of the 1900 century.Focus is on the 1930 decade, the time of major expansionof the area. The study is based on study of literature, mainlyfrom articles but also from a few booklets from the time.The purpose of the study is to find out how the librarieswere described in the literature of the time and which goalsand tasks they had. Sweden is today often defined as a multicultural society. The implications on organizing and providing information in public libraries are many, since the systems presently used in the western hemisphere are not adapted to multi-cultural information. This thesis aims to outline ethical and practical problems that arise when organising and providing information concerning cultures other than western, and not least, when dealing with material in other scripts. With this theoretical framework the thesis examines the website of the International Library in Stockholm, a website built to serve users of different languages and scripts than Swedish. The research questions in this thesis are: 1, what specific problems can be distinguished within library work in a multicultural and multilingual environment? 2, what problems and needs were considered in the creation and design of the International Library?s website? And 3, can examples of problems and possible solutions of these be seen in the information and it?s organisation on the International Library?s website? The empiric material consists of the International Library?s website, and interviews with three informants involved in developing it.

Biblioteken runt om i vÀrlden har under de senaste Ären arbetat hÄrt för att hÀnga med i den mobila kommunikativa utvecklingen. Ett sÀtt har varit att implementera QR-koder i sin verksamhet men resultaten har varit av varierande slag. Denna studies syfte var att titta pÄ fem olika QR-kodsprojekt inom biblioteksvÀrlden och undersöka vad som utgör grunden för ett framgÄngsrikt QR-kodsprojekt.UtifrÄn detta syfte formulerades fyra frÄgestÀllningar:Under vilka förutsÀttningar kan QR-koden vara anvÀndbar för biblioteksverksamhet? Vilka sÀrskilda fördelar/möjligheter kan QR-koden skapa som verktyg för biblioteken? Vilka risker/nackdelar kan QR-koden föra med sig som verktyg för biblioteken? Varför vÀljer biblioteken att anvÀnda sig av QR-koder i sin verksamhet?Metoden för denna studien var av kvalitativ karaktÀr dÀr QR-koden var fokus för en fallstudie. Datainsamlingen skedde genom fem semistrukturerade intervjuer.Genom att besvara de fyra frÄgestÀllningarna har studien visat att för att lyckas med en QR-kodssatsning inom biblioteksverksamhet bör man:? Göra en grundlig förstudie, dÀr fokus bör ligga pÄ anvÀndaren och deras behov.? Man bör ocksÄ anvÀnda QR-koderna pÄ ett tilltalande vis, som fÄngar anvÀndarens intresse, bÄde nÀr det gÀller projektets fysiska utformning samt innehÄll.? TÀnka pÄ QR-kodens placering.

This study?s aim is to investigate how multilingual students learn mathematics and teaching strategies used to support the students? development of knowledge. A total of eleven scientific articles were selected for analysis and comparison. The results showed that visual representation, multimodal forms of expression and the students? whole linguistic repertoire constitute central resources for learning.

This paper addresses the need to review the modern presentation of textile archaeology in museums. It is time to look at textiles in archaeology with new eyes. The reality behind archaeological textilestudy is holistic, embracing many different aspects of society. The presentation of textiles has in my opinion become old-fashioned. I will show in my paper that Jonathan Adams? `seven constraintsÂŽ model, developed for research on ancient ships, can also be applied to textile research.

This paper discusses how ten blogs written by librarians talk about using games in the library. What do they talk about and what are their arguments for using games as a learning tool, and what does this say about their views on the library?s role in society?It is examined by using argumentation analysis together with a model for identifying different roles within the library on the blog themselves. By identifying the most important arguments used and placing them within the model, the paper aims to see how the bloggers view the library as a whole and as a part of society.It showed that the reasoning among the librarians varies, but most emphasis was on seeing the library as a meeting space together as an inspirational space, and the use of games can greatly help with that. Especially when viewing the library as a meeting space with room for everyone regardless of their interests..

This bachelor's purpose is to examine different types of library work directed at theSwedish national Jewish and Romani minorities. The thesis will begin with accounting for thepolitics of Swedish national minorities and of today?s situation for Jews and Romanis in Sweden.We will, to accomplish this purpose, use a three-piece question formulation regarding therespective works of the libraries, as well as the possible benefits that cooperation betweendifferent libraries could bring. The questions are answered in the analysis of four qualitativeinterviews through a model based on Dorte Skot-Hansen's thoughts on the library's different rolesin different understandings of society. The analysis will lead us to a final discussion, in which wewill present our results: that distinct guidelines regarding the national minorities for the publiclibraries are a necessity for Sweden?s fulfilling of the responsibility towards these groups; thatthere is a need for a coordination of the propositions and conventions regarding the nationalminorities in the shape of a substantial legislation; and that this field in the future needs to bethoroughly observed and examined in order to evaluate how the Swedish public libraries meet the needs of the national minorities..

The purpose of this Master Thesis is to investigate the quality of the library service at the City Library of Uddevalla. In particular this thesis will examine the quality of the library service to people who are disabled. This applies particularly to the service to people with reduced ability to move or to see, which also includes people with infirmities due to old age. We also have investigated how well the library itself is adapted to the disabled. In order to get more information about the library service to people who are disabled, we have studied literature on this subject and the Master Thesis contains a summary of those documents.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate in which aspects the public library is affected by its local community. This is re-searched by means of an exemplified case study of a Swedish public library in which we analyze governing documents and the library website with respect to environmental scanning and mar-keting of library services.The research questions are: How are the local community?s demands on the public li-brary being described in the governing document? How is the public library?s response to the demands of the local community being described in the operational plan? How are the demands of the local community, as shown in the governing document and the operational plan, re-flected in the marketing of library services on the library website?Our conclusions are that:The demands of the local community are described in a general fashion in the governing document, but there is a lack of concrete political guidelines.The public library's response to the demands of the local commu-nity is described to some length in the operational plan, but not with respect to economical factors.The demands of the local community are reflected to some length in the marketing of library services on the library website.
